About us
Hi, we’re Lydia & Anece
We’re the founders of The Solo Social — and funnily enough, our story started in exactly the same way as the community we’ve created.
We met through a community group ourselves around a year ago, and it made us realise just how many girls are looking for the same thing: more people to make memories with.
Making friends in your 20s can be hard. You might not have gone to university, lost touch with school friends, moved to a new area, or simply find that everyone’s busy with work, relationships and their own lives. Even when you have a great friendship group, getting everyone together can feel impossible!
So we decided to create the kind of community we would have wanted to join ourselves.
The Solo Social is a female-only community for women aged 18–35 who want to get out, try new things, meet like-minded girls and make genuine, lasting friendships — whether you come with someone or completely solo.
From hikes and run clubs to coffee dates, drinks, creative activities, day trips and bigger events across the UK, we’re creating opportunities to make memories with people you might never have crossed paths with otherwise.
Because sometimes, all it takes is one “I’m going solo” moment to meet people who become your people.
We’re so excited to build this community with you and see where it takes us!
